Icon clamps the workpiece between head stock and tailstock and carries out turning, milling and sanding operations in one setup. A 4-axis spindle with an automatic 12-position tool changer completes every operation without templates, so complex solid-wood components leave the machine ready for the next stage. All working units sit on an extremely rigid, patented gantry structure aligned with the lathe axis and the chip-removal conveyor, keeping the work area clean and making tool and sanding-belt setup faster, safer and front-facing for the operator. A patented dual-spindle lathe axis machines two pieces up to 90×90 mm at once, doubling daily productivity, with manual self-centering loading for small batches or an automatic loader for larger runs.
