MP260 Wood-Mizer 4-Sided Planer / Moulder

The Wood-Mizer MP260 four-sided planer/moulder is a versatile and space-saving solution for professional woodworking applications. Designed for craftsmen in the building and construction sector, it combines simple operation with reliable performance, allowing all four sides of a workpiece to be planed or moulded in a single pass. The machine is suitable for producing finished components such as flooring, decorative profiles, panels, frames for windows and doors, and furniture elements. Its cutting system consists of two horizontal cutterheads and two side cutterheads. The top cutterhead has a working width of 410 mm, the bottom cutterhead 300 mm, while each side cutterhead supports profiles up to 100 mm in height. One side cutterhead is fixed, and the other can be adjusted to suit different material dimensions. Standard equipment includes HSS straight knives, with optional profile knives available in multiple shapes and sizes for customized moulding work. Five feed rollers guide the material evenly through the machine, ensuring stable processing and consistent results. Depending on production requirements, the standard steel rollers can be replaced with hardened steel or polyurethane versions for improved durability or better surface protection. The cast-iron work table is precision-machined on CNC equipment to ensure rigidity and vibration-free operation. An intuitive control panel is positioned close to the operator, and the machine is powered by quiet and efficient motors with a combined output of 12.5 kW. Efficient dust removal is achieved through four extraction ports—one 125 mm and three 100 mm—strategically located to capture chips directly at the cutterheads. The MP260 supports material heights up to 100 mm, with optional high side cutterheads required for side profiling at maximum height. In standard four-sided operation, the maximum working width is 260 mm. This can be extended to 300 mm in two-sided mode by removing the side cutterheads, or to 410 mm for one-sided processing using only the top cutterhead.
