The Hypsos is a universal 5-axis CNC machining centre engineered for high-precision routing, drilling, and 3D profiling operations on complex geometries and oversized components. Built around SCM Group's integrated cabin architecture, the machine delivers simultaneous 5-axis control with B-rotation (±120°) and C-rotation (±270°) capabilities, enabling single-setup machining of multi-sided and sculptural forms without manual repositioning. The machine's technical foundation includes six configurable platform sizes spanning 3600–6000 mm on the X-axis and 1800–2600 mm on the Y-axis, with a fixed 1200 mm Z-stroke. The routing spindle delivers 20 kW maximum power at up to 24,000 rpm, supporting both heavy-duty material removal and precision finishing in a single setup. Rapid traverse speeds of 80 m/min on X-Y axes and 70 m/min on Z-axis minimize non-cutting time. Tool storage flexibility—either 8–12 linear positions or 20-position circular carousel—accommodates mixed workflow demands without tool changes on the production floor. The Hypsos serves mid-to-large woodworking workshops and industrial cabinet makers processing solid wood, engineered panels, and composite materials. Its 5-axis architecture eliminates secondary positioning operations for interior design elements, bespoke joinery, and architectural components, making it cost-effective for low-to-medium batch production and custom work. The integrated cabin design ensures operator safety and dust containment in continuous-duty environments.
