A customized thicknessing planer solution combining Italian creativity with advanced technical research. Offers flexible cutterhead options for superior wood processing performance.
The L'invincibile S 7 is a precision thicknessing planer engineered for solid wood processing in mid-range production environments. It functions as a finishing and dimensioning tool, capable of reducing and surfacing lumber and solid wood components to exacting tolerances across a 630 mm working width. The machine is built on SCM Group's decades of Italian manufacturing expertise, delivering reliable performance for operations requiring consistency and surface quality. The machine's core technical advantage lies in its dual-cutterhead system: operators can swap between TERSA straight-knife geometry (4 knives, 630 x 35 x 3 mm) for clean, traditional finishes, or XYLENT spiral helical configuration (84 micro-knives, 15 x 15 x 2.5 mm each) for superior surface quality and reduced tearout on figured or difficult grain. Both cutterheads mount on 120 mm diameter blocks. The 15 Hp three-phase motor supports feed rates from 4–20 m/min, allowing operators to balance throughput against finish quality. Maximum stock removal per pass is 8 mm, with minimum working height of 3.5 mm and maximum 300 mm, covering components from thin veneered panels to solid dimensional lumber. The L'invincibile S 7 serves medium-sized woodworking operations—cabinet makers, custom furniture producers, and architectural millwork shops—processing 5–50 employees with 20–100 pieces per shift. It is well-suited for hard and exotic species, figured woods, and mixed batches where surface quality cannot be compromised. The flexible cutterhead design reduces setup time when alternating between production runs, making it cost-effective for shops avoiding dedicated machinery per operation.
