A high productivity flexible edgebanding and squaring-edgebanding line composed of two single-sided edgebanding machines. Designed for flexible production with multiple configuration options.
The Stefani Rocket U is a dual-head edgebanding system designed for mid-to-high-volume production environments requiring both flexibility and consistent output quality. It comprises two single-sided edgebanding machines that operate in sequence, enabling simultaneous processing of panel edges with support for both lengthwise and crosswise feeding orientations. This dual-machine configuration allows operators to machine panels ranging from 250×130 mm to 3000×1200 mm (lengthwise) or 180×250 mm to 1200×3000 mm (crosswise), making it suitable for diverse panel geometries across cabinet, furniture, and architectural applications. The system's core technical strength lies in its dynamic production flexibility without requiring full machine reconfiguration between jobs. Operators can adjust glue dosage, edge material thickness, and edge protection film type mid-production. The groove positioning and depth can be modified in flexible mode, accommodating design variations across batches. Panel dimension changes are supported without stopping the line, and the machine enables addition of panels during active batch processing—critical for optimizing material flow in multi-SKU production environments. The machine supports panel re-machining without manual intervention, reducing scrap and rework cycles. The Stefani Rocket U is engineered for medium to large woodworking operations (15–100+ employees) that process 50+ panels daily across variable specifications. It serves workshops handling solid wood edging, veneer application, and protective film bonding on melamine or MDF substrates. The homogeneous panel management feature ensures consistent glue application and edge alignment across large batch runs, while the flexible feeding capability reduces setup time when transitioning between lengthwise and crosswise edge applications. Within its class, the dual-machine architecture distinguishes it from single-head edgebanders by delivering approximately 2× the throughput per hour while maintaining the flexibility required for custom production. It bridges the gap between entry-level machines and fully automated inline systems, offering industrial-scale productivity without the capital investment of integrated panel processing centers.
