TISZABOND 1KD4 (cod 4160) is a professional-grade single-component waterproof wood adhesive manufactured by Szolvegy Vegyipari KFT (Hungary). This D4-class adhesive meets the highest moisture resistance standard according to DIN EN 204, making it the ideal choice for demanding interior and exterior applications where wood joints are exposed to high humidity, water, and harsh weather conditions. As a monocomponent adhesive, TISZABOND 1KD4 requires no hardener or additional mixing, simplifying the application process while delivering a firm, durable bond after a short pressing time. The adhesive is based on polyvinyl acetate (PVA) dispersion technology, featuring a white, fluid consistency that ensures uniform coverage and excellent penetration into wood fibers. The D4 waterproofing classification makes this adhesive suitable for applications including exterior windows and doors, garden furniture, solid wood panels, laminate flooring, bathroom and kitchen installations, and any wood construction exposed to moisture. It can be used with both manual application methods and industrial pressing systems, including thermal presses and high-frequency presses. For optimal results, surfaces must be clean and free from dust and impurities. The minimum application temperature is 5°C, with an optimal working temperature of 15°C. Standard consumption is 120–180 g/m² when applied to one side, or 60–100 g/m² per side when applying to both surfaces. Wood moisture content should be maintained at 8–10%. Complete adhesive curing occurs within a minimum of 24 hours, while the full D4 waterproofing capability is achieved after 7 days. TISZABOND 1KD4 is formulated without organic solvents, is non-flammable, and does not pose health risks, making it safe for use in enclosed workshop environments. The adhesive should be stored at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C and has a shelf life of 6 months. Available in packaging sizes of 5 kg, 10 kg, 32 kg, and 1100 kg IBC containers to suit operations of any scale.
