DRILLTEQ D-110

The DRILLTEQ D-110 is a CNC-controlled horizontal drilling and dowel insertion system engineered for precision joinery in mid-to-high-volume production environments. It combines three individually retrievable horizontal drilling spindles with an integrated automatic doweling unit, enabling synchronized hole boring and dowel placement in a single machine cycle. This integration eliminates the need for secondary dowel insertion operations, reducing handling time and improving dimensional consistency across production runs.

The machine's architecture centers on a 32 mm grid-based spindle positioning system, allowing precise hole placement at standardized intervals common to European furniture construction standards. Three independent spindles can be individually controlled and indexed, accommodating complex drilling patterns without tool changes. The system processes workpieces between 10–60 mm thickness with maximum lengths exceeding 2,800 mm, supported by eight adjustable clamping cylinders that secure up to four workpieces simultaneously. The rigid SORB TECH mineral composite bed ensures thermal stability and vibration damping critical for maintaining hole tolerances across extended production shifts.

The D-110 targets medium to industrial-scale cabinet makers, frameless furniture manufacturers, and solid wood joiners requiring high-precision dowel joinery. It is ideally suited for production volumes of 500+ units monthly, where the cost-per-unit of integrated drilling-doweling justifies the machine footprint. Common materials include engineered panels (MDF, chipboard), plywood, and solid timber stock in the 16–40 mm range. The four-workpiece capacity and multi-spindle configuration enable continuous production without frequent setup interruptions, making it practical for batch runs of cabinet sides, shelving components, and frame assemblies.
