SAWTEQ S-510 with lifting table
Panel Processing โ Homag Group
Panel dividing saw designed for high material throughput and large-format cutting. Features a torsion-resistant SORB TECH saw body with maximum dynamics and precision.
The SAWTEQ S-510 is a precision panel dividing saw engineered for high-volume cutting operations in industrial woodworking environments. It serves as the primary processing station for breaking down large-format sheet materials into component parts with repeatable accuracy and throughput. The machine accommodates cutting lengths from 3200 mm to 6500 mm, making it suitable for both standard panel sizes and oversized stock common in large-scale manufacturing.
The machine's core strength lies in its SORB TECH torsion-resistant saw body combined with dual-drive architecture: the program-controlled fence operates at speeds up to 90 m/min while the saw carriage independently reaches 130 m/min (optionally 150 m/min), enabling rapid material positioning without sacrificing cut quality. The main saw motor delivers 30 kW at 50 Hz (with 47 kW option) or 35 kW at 60 Hz (54 kW option), providing sufficient torque for continuous cutting through solid wood, veneered panels, and composite sheet materials. Blade projection ranges from 150 mm to 170 mm depending on material thickness requirements.
This machine is purpose-built for medium to large industrial operations processing 100+ sheet units daily. Typical users include cabinet manufacturers, furniture producers, and panel processing specialists who require consistent first-cut accuracy and minimal kerf waste. The 24" full-HD multi-touch display with CADmatic 5 software enables programmable nesting routines, reducing manual setup time and material handling overhead between production runs.

Applications
timber construction components
medium workshopTimber frame and engineered wood product manufacturers cut plywood, OSB, and laminated veneer lumber blanks for floor joists, roof sheathing, and wall panels. The adjustable saw blade projection (150-170 mm option) accommodates multi-layer composite cutting, while the optional 47 kW or 54 kW motors handle density variations in engineered materials without stalling.
panel processing batch
industrial workshopPanel processing centers use this saw for primary breakdown of 6500 mm sheet stock into secondary blanks (300-1200 mm widths) for distribution to secondary machines. The machine's choice of five cutting-length configurations (3200-6500 mm) and dual carriage/fence speeds maximize throughput on large-batch orders. The SORB TECH body maintains dimensional stability during continuous operation typical of 2-shift production schedules.
cabinet making production
industrial workshopCabinet manufacturers use the SAWTEQ S-510 to rip and cross-cut 3-4mm to 30mm veneered and solid-core panels into door, side, and shelf blanks with tolerances ยฑ0.5mm. The 130 m/min carriage speed and program fence at 90 m/min enable one operator to process 200-300 cabinet sets daily. CADmatic 5 software nests cutting patterns from cabinet design files, minimizing waste on expensive veneer stock.
furniture component blanks
medium workshopContract manufacturers producing chair seats, table leaves, and cabinet frames rely on the SAWTEQ S-510 to deliver pre-cut blanks to specification. Running at 90 m/min fence speed with repeatable cuts every 8-12 seconds per piece, a single machine can supply blanks for 5-6 downstream assembly workstations continuously.
