SVS Single Vertical Saw

The SVS Single Vertical Saw is a specialized primary processing machine designed to remove the third side of a log during cant preparation, positioned downstream of the TVS in a typical sawmill workflow. It bridges the gap between initial log breakdown and multi-blade resaw processing by squaring and dimensioning material to optimize recovery in subsequent milling stages.

The machine accommodates material up to 400mm wide by 250mm high, with a maximum cutting width of 300mm, enabling operators to process cants and large dimension lumber in a single pass. Material movement is controlled via a steel spiked chain belt feed system capable of 25 meters per minute, supported by integral infeed and outfeed roller tables that ensure consistent material presentation and evacuation. A standard laser alignment system allows operators to position cuts with precision, reducing setup time and minimizing manual adjustment errors during production runs.

The SVS targets medium to industrial-scale sawmills and primary timber processors that run cant-through-board workflows and require consistent third-side dressing before resaw operations. It is particularly suited for operations processing softwood and hardwood species where initial log breakdown must be followed by precision dimensioning to maximize yield.
