Celaschi SPL30

Panel Processing โ€” SCM Group

The Celaschi SPL30 is a throughfeed panel saw designed to split and cut finished panels in half. It can be integrated in-line with edge banders and other processing equipment.

The Celaschi SPL30 is a high-speed throughfeed panel saw engineered for precise splitting and cross-cutting of finished panels in automated production environments. As a key component in integrated manufacturing lines, it performs downstream processing immediately after edge banding or surface finishing, eliminating material handling between operations and reducing production cycle time.

The machine delivers exceptional throughput with a maximum feed speed of 60 m/min, supported by dual processing units: an 8 kW scoring unit and a 15 kW cutting-off unit that work in tandem to achieve clean, straight cuts on panels up to 3200 mm in length and 1244 mm in width at infeed. The dual-output capability at the outfeed (60+60 mm to 620+620 mm per side) enables the machine to simultaneously process split panels of variable widths, maximizing yield from each input panel and adapting to production specification changes without requiring setup modifications.

The SPL30 is purpose-built for medium to large-scale panel processing operations that integrate multiple processing stagesโ€”particularly suitable for manufacturers running edge banders, lacquering lines, or CNC centers upstream. It handles veneered, laminated, and painted panels without edge chipping, making it ideal for finished cabinetry blanks, store fixtures, and architectural millwork. Workshop environments with production volumes exceeding 100+ panels per shift will realize the efficiency gains of inline integration, while smaller operations may use it as a standalone precision ripping solution.

Applications

store fixture manufacturing

medium workshop

Retail fixture producers use the SPL30 to process laminated or lacquered panels into shelving units, display backs, and dividers up to 3200 mm long and 1244 mm wide. The integrated scoring unit eliminates edge chipping on high-gloss finishes, and the split-output capability (two widths simultaneously) accelerates throughput for repetitive component sets.

architectural millwork splitting

medium workshop

Custom millwork shops use the SPL30 to convert large painted or veneered panels into uniform component widths for built-in cabinetry, wall paneling, and shelving systems. The dual scoring/cutting unit prevents tearout on finished surfaces, maintaining the quality required for on-site installation, while the dual output allows simultaneous processing of left and right components.

furniture blank production

industrial workshop

Furniture manufacturers integrate the SPL30 into complete production lines alongside CNC centers and edge banders to produce cabinet sides, shelves, and case components. The machine's 60 m/min speed and precise width output (60+60 mm to 620+620 mm format) supports high-volume batch production of modular furniture systems with minimal operator intervention.

cabinet panel processing

industrial workshop

The SPL30 processes pre-finished cabinet blanks (edge-banded 18-40 mm panels) from edge banding lines, splitting them to specification widths up to 1244 mm and cross-cutting to 3200 mm lengths. At 60 m/min feed speed, an industrial cabinet manufacturer can process 80-120 finished panels per hour with no chipping on decorative surfaces, directly feeding downstream assembly stations.
