L'invincibile F7
Solid Wood Processing — SCM Group
A customized joinery machine combining Italian engineering with advanced woodworking capabilities. Designed for professional solid wood processing with flexible cutterhead options.
The L'invincibile F7 is a dual-function surface planer and jointer designed for precision solid wood processing. It combines a 520mm working width planing station with a 3008mm jointer bed, enabling single-pass face jointing and thickness planing in a unified machine footprint. This integration reduces material handling and setup time while maintaining dimensional accuracy across sequential operations.
The machine's technical flexibility centers on its dual cutterhead architecture. Users can specify either TERSA straight-knife technology (4 knives, 520×35×3mm) for clean finish surfaces and easy blade changes, or XYLENT spiral helical cutting (84 micro-knives, 15×15×2.5mm) for superior surface quality and reduced noise in production environments. Both systems mount on the same 120mm diameter block, allowing specification-time selection without mechanical retrofit. The 11 HP three-phase motor supports up to 8mm maximum stock removal per pass, supporting both roughing and finish operations within a single setup cycle.
The L'invincibile F7 addresses mid-to-large solid wood shops requiring integrated jointing and planing without dedicated machine separation. It serves operations processing hardwoods and specialty timbers where face quality matters—furniture component milling, architectural millwork, and custom cabinetry. The spiral cutterhead option is particularly suited to facilities with noise constraints or those processing figured grains prone to tearout. The 520mm width accommodates most solid wood workpieces while the 8mm removal rate balances productivity with surface finish control in single-pass operations.

Applications
solid wood crafting
small workshopSmall high-end woodworking studios leverage the XYLENT spiral option for minimal surface prep on showcase pieces and specialty commissions. The 11 HP motor and 8mm depth-of-cut provide adequate power for hand-selected figured hardwoods and exotics. Integrated jointing and planing in one setup reduces dust extraction demands and footprint—critical constraints in limited workshop space.
custom millwork
medium workshopArchitectural millwork shops use the L'invincibile F7 to joint and plane 520mm-wide solid wood components—stair stringers, baseboard stock, door frames—in sequence on the 3008mm bed. The XYLENT helical cutterhead minimizes grain tearout on figured hardwoods (cherry, walnut), critical for visible finished surfaces. 8mm per-pass removal allows roughing of 25-32mm stock to final 20mm thickness in two passes without quality loss.
cabinet making
medium workshopCabinet shops utilize the F7 for preparing solid wood panel stock and edge-banding substrate before assembly. The 520mm width handles panels up to that dimension; the 3008mm jointer bed supports face jointing of longer cabinetry components. TERSA knives enable quick specification changes when switching between hardwoods, while the 8mm removal capacity processes rough-sawn or reclaimed timber efficiently.
furniture production
medium workshopFurniture makers specify the machine for milling solid wood frame components and panels up to 520mm width. The choice between TERSA straight knives (for rapid blade changes in mixed-species runs) and XYLENT spiral knives (for premium surface finish on visible frame stock) provides production flexibility. The integrated jointer bed eliminates material staging between face jointing and thickness planing, streamlining batch component milling.
