CENTATEQ N-500

CNC Machining Centers โ€” Homag Group

A CNC nesting machine for cutting-optimized processing and dividing of panel materials in woodworking applications. Enables efficient creation of carcass furniture, front refinement, and frame construction with high material yield.

The CENTATEQ N-500 is a CNC nesting and machining center purpose-built for automated panel processing in furniture manufacturing. It combines a high-speed routing spindle with intelligent nesting software to maximize material utilization and minimize waste during the cutting and profiling of composite panels, veneered boards, and solid wood sheets. The machine handles working fields from 1250โ€“2250 mm in width and 2520โ€“4300 mm in length, accommodating full-sheet and strip-fed processing typical of mid-to-high-volume furniture production.

The N-500 delivers processing efficiency through a 9 kW (12 kW optional) HSK routing spindle paired with integrated tool changer capacity of 7โ€“12 stations, enabling rapid tool changes without production interruption. Vacuum holding systems scale from 290 to 1035 mยณ/h depending on configuration, providing stable substrate grip across variable material densities and thicknesses. Electronic surveillance of all operational stops ensures consistent part quality and machine reliability, critical for unattended batch runs. This combination of spindle power, tool flexibility, and vacuum control makes the N-500 suitable for complex profiling tasks including edge banding preparation, pocket routing, and contour cutting on furniture components.

The CENTATEQ N-500 targets medium to industrial woodworking facilities producing carcass frames, cabinet sides, shelving units, and decorative panels at volumes of 500โ€“5000+ parts per month. It excels in environments where material waste reduction and consistent edge quality directly impact profitability. The machine integrates with standard CAD/CAM workflows and nesting optimization software, allowing shops to transition from manual or older CNC systems while maintaining competitive cycle times on custom and semi-custom furniture production.

Applications

cabinet side and panel production

medium workshop

Production of cabinet carcass panels, shelves, and sides in melamine, MDF, or veneered plywood. The N-500's working field (up to 2250ร—4300 mm) accommodates full sheet nesting layouts, while the 9โ€“12 kW spindle handles edge profiling and pocket routing for hardware mounting in single setup. Vacuum capacity (290โ€“1035 mยณ/h) secures panels reliably during cut and profile sequences, enabling unattended batch runs of 100โ€“500 identical or nested variant parts per shift.

industrial batch panel optimization

industrial workshop

High-throughput panel processing for large contract furniture manufacturers or panel suppliers. The N-500 integrates nesting optimization software to maximize yield from expensive veneered or specialty panels, automatically generating cutting patterns that reduce waste by 5โ€“15% compared to manual layout. At industrial production scales (2000+ panels/month), this optimization directly increases profitability while maintaining consistent edge and surface quality.

custom millwork and architectural panels

medium workshop

On-demand production of custom door frames, architectural cladding panels, and bespoke millwork components. The machine's nesting capability allows efficient layout of multiple custom part geometries on a single sheet, reducing scrap on low-volume specialty runs. Electronic stop monitoring ensures dimensional repeatability across batches, critical for architectural fit and finish specifications.

furniture frame and component machining

medium workshop

Creation of bed frames, table bases, seating frames, and decorative wooden components requiring multiple tool operations. The 7โ€“12 station tool changer allows one setup to perform ripping, profiling, mortising, and finishing cuts on solid wood or engineered panels without manual tool swaps. Typical output: 200โ€“800 finished frame components per 8-hour shift, with edge quality suitable for stain and finish applications.
