DMC Eurosystem
Sanding & Calibrating โ SCM Group
A wide belt sander for automatic sanding and calibrating of raw and painted panels. Delivers excellent finishing results with flexible working parameters and adjustable feed speeds.
The DMC Eurosystem is a wide belt sanding machine engineered for precision finishing of panel materials in both raw and pre-finished (painted) states. Operating across a 1350 mm working width with belt dimensions of 1370ร2620 mm, the machine delivers consistent surface quality through controlled abrasive contact and adjustable process parameters. Its primary function is automated thickness calibration and surface refinement, removing minor defects, paint irregularities, and achieving uniform surface preparation for subsequent finishing operations.
The machine's technical architecture centers on two operational modes: a mobile table system accommodating material thicknesses from 3โ170 mm, and a constant pass-line configuration extending capacity to 200 mm maximum thickness. Feed speed adjustment across a 3โ18 m/min range enables operators to optimize material removal rates based on substrate hardness, abrasive selection, and surface conditionโcritical parameters for preventing grain tearout on hardwoods and achieving controlled finish on lacquered panels. The roller-type sanding unit configuration ensures uniform pressure distribution across the working width, minimizing deflection marks and thickness variation common in entry-level sanders.
The DMC Eurosystem targets medium to industrial woodworking operations requiring high-volume panel processing with consistent dimensional tolerance and surface finish. Ideal applications include flat-panel furniture component finishing, engineered panel calibration prior to edge-banding, painted cabinet door preparation, and pre-finishing of veneered substrates. The machine's flexibility across material thickness ranges and feed speeds makes it suitable for operations processing mixed batchesโfrom thin veneered panels (3 mm minimum) to solid wood assemblies and composite boards approaching 200 mm thickness.

Applications
painted panel calibration
industrial workshopProcess large-volume batches of lacquered or polyester-coated panels (furniture panels, kitchen fronts, architectural cladding) for thickness consistency and surface smoothness. Operating in constant pass-line mode, the machine achieves uniform 200 mm maximum thickness on pre-finished substrates while removing minor coating defects and orange-peel texture, critical for high-end furniture and automotive interior component suppliers.
solid wood panel sanding
medium workshopSand glued-up solid wood panels and table tops (20โ100 mm thickness) to uniform surface quality and thickness before finishing. Variable feed speeds (3โ18 m/min) accommodate different wood species and grain orientations, minimizing tearout on figured hardwoods while maintaining production pace for custom furniture and millwork operations handling mixed wood types.
engineered panel preparation
industrial workshopPrepare MDF, plywood, and particleboard panels (3โ170 mm range) prior to lamination, veneer application, or edge-banding operations. Consistent surface texture and dimensional accuracy across panel width reduce downstream defects in edge application machinery and improve adhesion in laminating operations, supporting high-throughput production in panel processing facilities.
cabinet component finishing
medium workshopFinish flat cabinet doors, side panels, and shelving components (typically 15โ50 mm thickness) in single-pass operations at 6โ12 m/min feed speeds. The 1350 mm working width accommodates standard cabinet components without repositioning, and the machine removes dust nibs, sanding marks from prior operations, and paint runs from spray finishing, delivering cabinet-grade surface quality for immediate assembly or edge treatment.
