The Morbidelli X200/X400 is a dual-spindle CNC nesting machining centre engineered for high-precision routing, drilling, and multi-axis operations on wood, plywood, MDF, and composite panels. The machine combines a primary routing spindle (15โ€“20.5 kW at 24,000 rpm) with an independent drilling unit featuring 21 vertical and 12 horizontal spindles rotating at 8,000 rpm, enabling simultaneous multi-point drilling and routing without secondary repositioning. This dual-unit architecture significantly reduces cycle times on complex parts requiring both profiled edges and precision hole patterns.

The X200 and X400 models offer configurable working areas ranging from 2556ร—1296 mm to 4356ร—2216 mm, accommodating everything from small components to full-sheet panel nesting. Vectorial feed rates reach 113 m/min (Pro-Speed), while the X-axis travels support 3-, 4-, and 5-axis configurations on X400 with Z-clearances of 150 mm (X200) and 180 mm (X400). Tool capacity scales accordingly: 38 positions (X200) and 53 positions (X400), minimizing tool changes during production runs. The auxiliary routing spindle (5.4โ€“7.4 kW) and integrated 125 mm diameter blade unit (0โ€“90ยฐ tilt, 6,000 rpm) add flexibility for edge processing and secondary operations in-cycle.

This machine class targets medium to industrial woodworking facilities processing 50+ sheet parts daily or running complex nesting programmes with tight tolerances. It excels in batch production environments where drilling density is high and edge profiling is requiredโ€”typical workflows include kitchen cabinet parts, furniture components, modular construction panels, and retail display elements. The simultaneous multi-spindle operation and large tool magazine make it particularly cost-effective for shops requiring fast changeovers and minimal operator intervention, reducing labour costs per part.
