CNC Drilling and Routing Machining Center

CNC Machining Centers โ€” Homag Group

The DRILLTEQ H-330 is a CNC-controlled drilling and routing machining center featuring dual-sided clamping for precise, quick processing. It combines high-speed processing units with advanced spindle technology for efficient woodworking operations.

The DRILLTEQ H-330 is a dual-sided CNC machining center purpose-built for high-volume drilling and routing operations on panel and solid wood components. The machine simultaneously processes workpieces on both sides via independent clamping systems, eliminating manual repositioning and reducing cycle times for applications requiring multiple drilling patterns, edge routing, or surface profiling in a single setup.

The H-330 delivers processing capacity across 26 drilling spindle positions (13 per side, vertically oriented) and 12 horizontal routing spindles (6 per side, arranged in X and Y axes) with frequency-controlled speeds ranging from 1,250 to 7,500 rpm. This multi-spindle architecture enables parallel operationsโ€”such as simultaneous edge drilling on one side and face routing on the opposite sideโ€”while the variable frequency drive accommodates both high-speed finishing cuts and low-speed torque-demanding drilling in hard materials. The working envelope accepts components up to 3,300 mm in length and 1,250 mm in width (single-sided) or dual pieces at 620 mm width each, with thickness capacity from 8 to 40 mm, covering standard panel stock, door blanks, and cabinet components.

This machine class serves medium to large furniture manufacturers, kitchen cabinet makers, and industrial woodworking facilities processing 50+ units daily. The dual-sided automation is particularly suited for operations requiring synchronized drilling (hinge cups, shelf pin holes, handle mounting) combined with edge profiling, where traditional single-spindle machines would require multiple passes or re-clamping. High-speed processing maintains production rates critical for serial manufacturing while the robust spindle configuration tolerates extended run times without spindle changes.

Within the CNC machining center category, the H-330 prioritizes throughput and multi-axis parallelization over workspace flexibility; it excels in dedicated production lines for standardized or semi-standardized parts rather than mixed-job job-shop environments. The fixed dual-side architecture requires product design compatibility but delivers superior cycle-time performance compared to single-surface machines for applicable workflows.

Applications

cabinet making

industrial workshop

Drill hinge cup holes, shelf-pin drilling, and handle mounting holes across cabinet sides and panels in a single clamping setup via dual-sided simultaneous processing. The 26 vertical spindles enable drilling multiple hole patterns at once (3,300 mm length capacity supports full cabinet height pieces), while the 12 horizontal spindles perform edge routing and banding preparation, reducing cycle time from 8โ€“12 minutes per piece (traditional CNC) to 4โ€“6 minutes.

door and window production

industrial workshop

Process door blanks and window frames requiring both face drilling (lock mechanisms, hinges) and edge milling (mortises, grooves for weatherstripping) without re-clamping. The 3,300 mm ร— 1,250 mm working area accommodates standard door dimensions; frequency-controlled spindles (1,250โ€“7,500 rpm) switch between high-speed edge profiling and low-speed mortising in solid hardwood or engineered panels.

custom millwork

medium workshop

Produce bespoke architectural panels, built-in components, and specialty wooden elements with custom drilling patterns and edge profiles defined by design files. The machine's ability to accept workpiece heights from 8โ€“40 mm and lengths up to 3,300 mm accommodates both thin veneered panels and solid wood stock, while the 13-spindle vertical drilling array completes complex multi-hole patterns in a single pass.

furniture panel processing

medium workshop

Execute desk tops, shelving, and modular furniture panels with decorative edge routing, pocket hole drilling for assembly, and surface detailing in coordinated operations. Dual-sided clamping allows face-up routing (edge profiles, grooves) and face-down drilling (assembly pocket holes) simultaneously, meeting production volumes of 30โ€“80 pieces per shift for semi-standardized designs.
