Stefani Rocket H

Edge Banding โ€” SCM Group

A flexible edgebanding and square-edgebanding line designed for processing panels that are already squared or require squaring with automatic capabilities. Features single operator control with advanced batch processing and dimension flexibility.

The Stefani Rocket H is a single-operator edge banding system designed for high-efficiency processing of pre-squared or self-squaring panels in both lengthwise and crosswise feeding orientations. It combines flexible and square-edge banding capabilities within a unified platform, accommodating machinable dimensions from 250ร—130 mm up to 3000ร—1200 mm (lengthwise) or 1200ร—3000 mm (crosswise), making it suitable for diverse panel geometries and production scales.

The machine's core differentiator is its barcode/QR code-triggered automatic program switching, enabling seamless batch processing without manual reconfiguration between panel variants. Operators can modify edge color, material thickness, edge protection film type, and groove position/depth in flexible mode without stopping production. Glue dosage adjustment, panel dimension changes, and dynamic panel sizing occur automatically during batch transitions, reducing changeover time and operator intervention to a minimum while maintaining dimensional consistency across heterogeneous panel batches.

The Stefani Rocket H targets medium to industrial woodworking facilities processing 50+ panel variants annually, particularly those managing mixed-batch orders with tight tolerances. It accommodates both solid wood edges and protective films, supporting applications from cabinet components to architectural paneling. Its homogeneous panel management and re-machining capability ensure first-pass quality, while single-operator control reduces labor costs in high-throughput environments processing panels between 180โ€“3000 mm in width and 250โ€“3000 mm in length.

Within the premium edge banding class, the Rocket H distinguishes itself through integrated squaring capability and automated program intelligence rather than manual setup, positioning it between entry-level single-function machines and fully modular production lines. The integration of the Stefani One or Stefani SB One edge bander ensures compatibility with SCM Group's broader panel processing ecosystem.

Applications

european panel processing

industrial workshop

European-standard panel processors work with pre-squared 2800ร—2070 mm sheets and crosswise-fed narrower strips (1200ร—250 mm components). The Rocket H's dual feeding geometry and homogeneous panel management system handle both orientations without reconfiguration, while groove positioning flexibility supports variable rebate depths for dowel or cam-lock joinery.

mixed material edge banding

medium workshop

Custom furniture and architectural panel suppliers edge-band melamine, veneer, and solid wood panels in the same production shift using different edge protection films and thicknesses (0.5โ€“3 mm). Automatic color and material switching via program code reduces material waste and eliminates manual edge reloading, while panel dimension flexibility accommodates custom sizes up to 3000 mm length.

flexible production job shops

medium workshop

Custom millwork and bespoke furniture makers handle job-lot orders with frequent specification changes. Panel re-machining capability allows rework of edges without full reprocessing, while dynamic dimension adjustment and addition of panels during batch machining accommodates small-quantity adjustments and prototype iterations without production stoppage.

cabinet component batch production

industrial workshop

Industrial cabinet manufacturers process 30+ different panel specifications per week (varying widths 250โ€“1200 mm, thicknesses, and edge profiles). The Rocket H's barcode-driven batch mode automatically loads correct glue dosages, edge material, and groove settings for each cabinet style. Single-operator control handles mixed batches of face frames, sides, and backs without changeover delays, directly feeding downstream assembly stations.
