Windor NT1

CNC Machining Centers — SCM Group

Angular machining center for doors and windows processing with optimized production spaces. Performs end-cutting, tenoning, drilling-routing and profiling operations.

The Windor NT1 is a specialized angular machining center engineered for high-precision doors and windows component processing. It integrates multiple operations—end-cutting, tenoning, drilling-routing, and profiling—within a single-pass workflow, eliminating intermediate handling and reducing setup time for complex wooden frame assemblies.

The machine's tenoning unit operates with angular flexibility up to ±60 degrees and feed speeds reaching 12 m/min, enabling production of angled mortise-and-tenon joints critical to contemporary window and door frame designs. The separate routing unit, positioned at 870 mm working height, delivers profiling operations at 4–10 m/min feed speeds. The system accommodates work-piece dimensions from 200–3800 mm in length and 40–200 mm in width, supporting both standard and extended profile production runs. Worktable heights are independently optimized: 990 mm for the tenoning station and 870 mm for routing, enabling ergonomic operator access and precise tool positioning across operations.

The Windor NT1 is purpose-built for manufacturers producing architectural woodwork at medium to high volumes—commercial window fabricators, custom door producers, and timber construction specialists processing solid wood and engineered components. It serves workshops with dedicated production lines where repeatability and multi-operation efficiency directly impact throughput and labor costs. This machine class justifies investment in facilities processing 5,000+ linear meters of frame stock annually or managing complex joint geometry across diverse product lines.

Applications

solid wood crafting

medium workshop

Furniture makers and solid wood craftspeople leverage the Windor NT1 for producing mortise-and-tenon frame construction on table bases, chair frames, and cabinet cases. The machine's ability to manage width specifications from 40–200 mm and perform angled joinery (±60°) enables both traditional and contemporary furniture joint designs without manual hand-tool finishing.

custom millwork

medium workshop

Custom millwork shops producing bespoke frames, decorative moldings, and architectural trim benefit from the Windor NT1's multi-operation flexibility. The machine processes varied cross-sections (40–140 mm thickness) and accommodates one-off to small-batch jobs requiring different tenon angles and profile cuts without extensive retooling between orders.

timber construction

industrial workshop

Timber frame and engineered construction component manufacturers use the Windor NT1 to produce structural joints and connection elements for glulam beams and laminated assemblies. Extended work-piece capacity (up to 3800 mm) and adjustable tenon angles support the precision joinery required in large-scale timber engineering applications.

window door production

industrial workshop

The Windor NT1 excels in high-volume window and door frame manufacturing, handling stiles and rails up to 3800 mm in length with integrated tenoning, profiling, and drilling in single setup. Angular tenoning capability (±60°) accommodates modern sloped and specialty frames, while feed speeds up to 12 m/min for tenoning and 4–10 m/min for profiling maintain competitive throughput on standardized component runs.
