LOOPTEQ O-200
CNC Machining Centers โ Homag Group
A return conveyor system designed for unilateral edge banding machines, perfectly harmonized in size, capacity, and speed. Handles workpieces from 300-2,500mm length with optional sensor-controlled turning bolt for short and narrow parts.
The LOOPTEQ O-200 is a return conveyor system purpose-built to integrate with HOMAG Group's unilateral edge banding machines, automating the workpiece handling and turning operations that follow edge application. It functions as a closed-loop material handler, accepting finished parts from the edge bander and returning them for multi-sided processing without manual intervention, significantly reducing operator labor and cycle time in continuous production workflows.
The system accommodates workpieces ranging from 300โ2,500 mm in length and 50โ1,450 mm in width, with material thicknesses between 8โ60 mm and maximum piece weights of 50 kg. Feed speed is adjustable from 8โ25 m/min, allowing operators to match conveyor velocity to downstream machining requirements. The sensor-controlled turning bolt mechanism provides reliable, repeatable 90ยฐ part rotation for short and narrow components such as drawer fronts and narrow stiles, while optional small roller gib support extends capability to wider workpieces that require lateral stability during transit. Working height ranges from 835โ950 mm, enabling ergonomic integration into existing production lines.
This conveyor is engineered for medium to industrial woodworking facilities processing solid wood, engineered panels, or veneered substrates where multi-pass edge treatment and subsequent 4-sided milling are standard operations. The system is particularly valuable in cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, and panel conversion operations producing parts at production volumes of 500+ pieces per shift. Its sensor-driven automation makes it suitable for mixed-batch runs where setup flexibility is required without sacrificing throughput or part quality.
Within the HOMAG ecosystem, the LOOPTEQ O-200 represents a premium integration solution; comparable standalone conveyor systems lack the proprietary sensor coordination and turning-bolt geometry optimized for edge banding machine output. It bridges the gap between single-pass edge application and multi-sided CNC processing, reducing manual handling bottlenecks that plague smaller, non-integrated systems.

Applications
cabinet component edge banding and drilling
medium workshopCabinet shops producing drawer fronts, side panels, and shelving (300โ1,450 mm length range) apply edge banding on a HOMAG edge bander, then use the LOOPTEQ O-200 to automatically turn and convey components to CNC boring and milling centers for hinge holes, shelf pin drilling, and profile routing. The sensor-controlled turning bolt ensures consistent part orientation; adjustable feed speeds (8โ25 m/min) accommodate variable downstream cycle times. Typical output: 1,500โ3,000 parts per shift with zero manual repositioning.
furniture solid wood four sided processing
medium workshopSolid wood furniture manufacturers process stiles, rails, and frame components (50โ300 mm width, 300โ2,500 mm length) through edge banding for visual grain matching, then rely on the LOOPTEQ O-200 to transport and orient parts for profile routing, mortising, and tenon shaping on four sides. The roller gib option stabilizes narrower pieces during high-speed conveyor transit; material weights up to 50 kg per piece are supported. Production-ready parts exit without secondary handling.
custom millwork short component handling
small workshopCustom millwork shops producing architectural components such as small door stiles, window muntins, and decorative trim (minimum 300 ร 300 mm for 4-sided processing) benefit from the sensor-controlled turning bolt to reliably flip short, narrow parts without jamming or drift. The conveyor's 25 kg/mยฒ mass capacity handles typical hardwood sections; variable feed speed allows one operator to manage edge banding and CNC queuing simultaneously without bottleneck delays.
engineered panel batch conversion
industrial workshopPanel conversion and distribution centers handling engineered wood substrates (MDF, plywood, melamine) in batches of 2,000+ identical parts apply edge banding to manage edge chipping and improve aesthetics, then use the LOOPTEQ O-200 to feed sequential CNC machining operationsโedge profiling, component cutouts, and labeling surfaces. Fast feed speeds (up to 25 m/min) and reliable turning reduce handling labor; the 835โ950 mm working height integrates into existing assembly lines without layout modification.
